Goals

Every blog has a goal: an audience or a point that they want to portray. This is mine. Through my short life I've learned a lot. That's not to say that it is even remotely complete, but I feel that through my life I've been taught many lessons. Lessons I'd like to share with you. This may come through rants, reflections, or even various types of media, but you're welcome to take it for what it is. A young adult speaking his mind and trying to make a difference.

I have a fascination with the role of a shepherd. If you look at the title of this blog you'll see part of the infatuation. A shepherd is a profession that allows for one person to look after many. To put the flock's needs in front of his own. A very admirable and brave position. When something goes right he gets all the credit. When something goes wrong he receives the punishments. No shepherd can live outside of his means nor can he put his own wants in front of what is necessary. It is a role I hope to grow into. Before you ask, I don't want to watch over sheep. Sheep are weird looking... and they smell funny. The choice is yours. You can listen to what I have to say and maybe, just maybe, you'll choose to follow (ha! pun!) me.

So what was the point of this again? Oh, right. Goals. To be able to create conversation on a wide variety of topics, generally social and political, that will lead not only my readers, but myself as well, to a deeper understanding of the way that the world works and how the people therein truly believe. This project is more than about me spouting my opinion. I'm sure there'll be plenty of that. A search. A quest for life, wisdom, and enjoyment.

The good shepherd watches over his flock.
Until next time.
